The Roc (Rukh), the giant, legendary bird of prey from Arabian and Persian folklore (known from Sinbad). Its immense scale fits the drama of black and silver, suggesting an untouchable, majestic height.
This jacket is crafted using the traditional Jamdani weaving technique on a sophisticated black fabric blend of fine cotton and half silk. The jacket features distinct patterns woven in Silver Zari (metallic thread). The front is covered in a dense, all-over pattern of tiny, repeating motifs. The back is a central showcase, featuring a dramatic, large concentric diamond pattern/ Guddi motif and integrating the Tabij motif within the border and accent elements.
